About Peter Sohn
Peter Sohn directs gentle Pixar stories about unlikely pairs. The Good Dinosaur from 2015 follows Arlo the apatosaurus across a frontier with a human boy, made through a troubled production that shows in the gorgeous landscapes. Elemental from June 2023 sets fire girl Ember and water boy Wade in Element City as an immigrant romance.
Both films run under two hours with the same soft observational humor. The Partly Cloudy short from 2009 stays optional viewing. Incredibles 3 is dated June 16, 2028 with Sohn directing from a Brad Bird script, his first sequel and first time inheriting another director's cast.
Good to know
Release order is the only order since the two films share no world. Elemental works as a first watch because its romance is tighter than the frontier survival. The Ponyo English dub co-credit is voice direction, not a directed feature, so it stays out. Incredibles 3 is dated June 16, 2028 and sits last until it nears release.
