About Ryoo Seung-wan
Ryoo Seung-wan directs Korean action with stuntman bones. Die Bad from 2000 opened as a four part anthology, Crying Fist from 2005 boxed two losers against each other, and The City of Violence from 2006 played gang revenge straight. The Unjust from 2010 and The Berlin File from 2013 scaled to corruption and spies.
Veteran from 2015 chased a chaebol heir through Seoul, Battleship Island from 2017 dramatized Hashima labor, and Mogadishu from 2021 recreated the embassy escape. Smugglers from 2023 dove with haenyeo criminals, Veteran 2 from 2024 returned to Seo Do-cheol, and Humint from February 2026 closed the run so far. Early shorts and producer credits stay out.
Good to know
Release order is the suggested path. The two Veteran films must stay paired in sequence, while the rest stand alone. No Blood No Tears, Arahan and Dachimawa Lee are grouped out with the anthology segments to keep the list to the notable run. A Veteran 3 attachment is reported with no date in verified sources and stays out. No next feature is dated.
