About Shootout
Shootout at Lokhandwala follows the November 16, 1991 Lokhandwala Complex gunfight between Maya Dolas gang and Mumbai police. It was directed by Apoorva Lakhia from Sanjay Gupta and Ekta Kapoor, with Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Vivek Oberoi as Maya. It runs 122 minutes.
Shootout at Wadala is a prequel about the 1982 Manya Surve encounter, directed by Sanjay Gupta from Hussain Zaidi Dongri to Dubai. John Abraham plays Surve with Anil Kapoor as Inspector Bagwan. It runs 150 minutes. A third film named Shootout at Byculla has been discussed but has no cast or shoot date.

Release order is Lokhandwala then Wadala, which is how most viewers found the series. History order reverses them, since Wadala covers 1982 and Lokhandwala covers 1991. Pick one path and stay with it. The Byculla film about the 1992 hospital shootout remains only a plan, so the two released films are the full list for now.
