About Sinbad
Sinbad has sailed under many flags that share only the name. The run that matters is Ray Harryhausen's trilogy: The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958), The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1973) and Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger (1977), each built around stop-motion creatures. Earlier takes (Sinbad the Sailor 1947, Son of Sinbad 1955, Captain Sindbad 1963) are separate adventures.
Release order shows the effects evolving from Fairbanks-style swashbuckling to Harryhausen's monsters. The trilogy connects loosely through Sinbad himself; the earlier films are standalone curios. No Sinbad film has followed since 1977, so the Eye of the Tiger is the endpoint of the classic era.

The Harryhausen trilogy is the essential viewing and the reason the character endures on screen: start with the 7th Voyage. The earlier films are enjoyable but generic swashbucklers that happen to share the name. Later animated and TV Sinbads sit outside this film guide. The creatures (Kali, the Roc, Medusa) remain reference points for fantasy effects.
