Release order matches story order, so start with the 1977 original and watch straight through, then try the four 1994 Bandit TV movies only if you want more.
Good to know
A prequel series, Sheriff Justice, filmed in Missouri in 2026 and is expected on Netflix in May 2027, so this guide will grow when it airs. The 1994 Bandit films recast the role with Brian Bloom as Bo Darville's son and put him in a Dodge Stealth instead of a Trans Am.
