About The Platform
The Platform centers a vertical prison where food descends floor by floor on a stone slab. The 2019 original follows Goreng learning the pit's rules, while the 2024 second film is a prequel following Perempuan with Goreng appearing at the end.
Watch in release order first since the prequel's ending assumes the original. The director has said he would love a third film explaining who built the pit, but nothing was confirmed as of 2026, which keeps this a two film set with a genuine order question.
Good to know
Release order puts the original first and the prequel second, while chronological order flips them, so both lists are included below. The prequel works standalone but its final scene needs the first film. With no third film confirmed, these two Netflix entries are the complete run for now and likely a while.
