About Tremors
Tremors (1990) flopped in theaters and thrived on video, spawning six direct-to-video sequels about Graboids, Shriekers and Ass-Blasters. Michael Gross plays Burt Gummer in every film, the only constant across 30 years.
Tremors 4 is a prequel set in 1889, but release order still works since each sequel re-explains the creatures. The 2003 Sci Fi Channel series ran 13 episodes before cancellation. A 2018 Kevin Bacon pilot was passed on, and in 2025 the original creators reclaimed the rights to talk up another sequel.
Good to know
Kevin Bacon never returned after the first film, though he shot a 2018 Syfy pilot the network passed on that April. Fred Ward returned only for Tremors 2. The April 2025 return-to-Perfection sequel talk comes from Stampede Entertainment via Bloody Disgusting and has no date or studio attached.
