Release order is the recommended path, since the callbacks and cameos pay off best in the order audiences first saw them.
Good to know
Mallrats is set a day before Clerks, so the chronological list simply swaps those two. Twilight of the Mallrats has a finished script but no date, with Universal still holding the rights as of December 2025.
