About Agatha Raisin
Agatha Raisin stars Ashley Jensen as a London PR star retiring to Carsely and solving murders. The Quiche of Death pilot from December 2014 sets the village and James Lacey tension. Series one from 2016 runs eight cases with Roy and Gemma support.
Series two from 2018 and series three from 2019 add more Beaton adaptations. Series four premiered in 2022 with new village feuds. Acorn TV has not dated more as of September 2026, so the pilot plus four runs form the set. Each mystery credits its novel up front.
Good to know
Watch the 2014 pilot before series one since it sets Agatha's move and first rivalry. Later series assume you know Roy's loyalty and Gemma's role. Books run far past the show with different endings, so readers should expect changes. Treat the 2022 run as the close while Acorn weighs more Carsely tales.
