About Brand New Cherry Flavor
Brand New Cherry Flavor premiered August 13, 2021 on Netflix as an 8 episode horror limited series with Rosa Salazar as filmmaker Lisa Nova and Catherine Keener as witch Boro. Lisa arrives in 1990s Hollywood to sell a film, gets cheated by producer Lou Burke, then trades curses, body horror and kitten births across dreamy Los Angeles shoots and jungle visions.
There is only one season and no film to slot in, so watch episodes 1 through 8 in broadcast order. Early Hollywood deal setup frames the curse rules, and the late revenge spiral lands best when each Boro ritual and Lisa injury from the middle stays fresh for the closing payback and quiet exit.
Good to know
Release order matches story order with trippy visions, so one list covers the guide. Start at episode 1 for the film pitch setup that drives the revenge plot. The middle curse stretch feels wild alone but builds the body horror rules used at the end. Treat the 8 episode run as complete, since Netflix billed it as a limited series with no follow up.
