About Carnival Row
Carnival Row follows inspector Philo and faerie Vignette in a Victorian city holding refugees. Season 1 dropped 8 episodes in August 2019 and sets the Darkasher murders. Season 2 ran 10 episodes weekly from February to March 2023 and closes the Sparas and political plots.
Prime Video renewed after season 1 and announced in November 2022 that season 2 would be the final season. The flashback episode Kingdoms of the Moon sits third in season 1 and should stay there. Watch season 1 then season 2. The finale resolves Philo and Vignette arcs.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order. The one flashback fills Vignette past inside the season 1 mystery, so moving it first would spoil the killer reveal. Release order is the intended path. No spinoff has been announced as of September 2026, and the March 2023 finale ends the Burgue story for good.
