About Chad Powers
Chad Powers grows from an Eli Manning prank sketch into a Hulu half hour comedy. Glen Powell co created with Michael Waldron and stars as Russ Holliday, whose viral meltdown ends his college career. In prosthetics and a new accent, he walks on to the South Georgia Catfish as oddball Chad Powers. Steve Zahn, Perry Mattfeld and Frankie Rodriguez co star.
Season 1 premiered September 30, 2025 with two episodes, then weekly. Hulu renewed the show in December 2025 and season 2 started September 3, 2026 with six episodes aimed at a playoff push. Peyton and Eli Manning produce, which keeps football detail honest.
Good to know
Watch season 1 before season 2, the disguise arc only works in order. Season 1 runs six to seven half hour blocks toward the 6th Quarter finale where the truth threatens to break. Season 2 moves Chad toward playoff stakes with Ricky as the only helper. The Manning link is real, Eli coined the name in a sketch. Start at the pilot, the prosthetics gag lands fast.
