About Departure
Departure stars Archie Panjabi as investigator Kendra Malley with the Transport Safety and Investigations Bureau. Season one from July 2019 runs six parts on Flight 716 over the Atlantic with Christopher Plummer and cleared wreck dives. Creator Vincent Shiao keeps each hour to one black box clue with hearings.
Season two from August 2021 runs six on a Boston train crash with new tech. Season three from 2022 runs six on a ferry sinking to the close. No fourth was ordered, so the eighteen parts form the set with Kendra's arc ended.
Good to know
Watch seasons one to three in order since Kendra, Howard and AJ arcs carry over directly each transport. Later runs assume you know the S1 crash cause and S2 train hack from prior probes. Crashes reset each year but the bureau politics builds throughout. Treat the 2022 ferry as the planned close with no further transports dated.
