About Entourage

Entourage (2004 to 2011) follows movie star Vince Chase and his Queens entourage through eight seasons of Hollywood deals, with Jeremy Piven's agent Ari Gold as the engine. Seasons track Vince's career arc from indie heat to studio tentpoles to director, each finale resetting his status.

The 2015 film continues after the series with the boys financing Vince's directorial debut, and assumes the finale: watch all eight seasons first. Broadcast order throughout; the show is lightly serialized around each season's project. The later seasons divide fans as the wish fulfillment curdles, but Ari's arc pays off for those who stay.

Good to know

The show's 2000s Hollywood attitudes, especially toward women, date it hard: go in knowing the era. Real celebrities cameo as themselves constantly, which is half the period texture. The film functions as a reunion special rather than essential plot, though it closes Ari's story properly. A revival has been discussed for years without ever filming, so the 2015 movie is the endpoint.
