About Grace Under Fire
Grace Under Fire opened September 1993 on ABC about divorced mother Grace Kelly in Missouri with three kids and a refinery job. Season 1 ran 22 episodes, season 2 ran 26, and season 3 ran 25 through 1996 with strong ratings and working class plots.
Season 4 ran 25 episodes, then season 5 was cut to 14 ending February 1998 amid cancellation and turmoil badly.. No revival has been ordered, with behind the scenes turmoil well documented in press reports. The run ends without a planned farewell at all.
Good to know
Watch seasons 1 through 5 in air order from start to finish fully. The job and kid plots build year to year, so the short last season hits harder in sequence fully. The tone shifts late as the show retools around Grace alone. Expect an abrupt stop rather than a finale, since season 5 was cut mid run.
