About Hardcastle and McCormick
Hardcastle and McCormick opened September 1983 on ABC with a two hour Rolling Thunder pilot about retired judge Hardcastle and racer McCormick teaming up for cases. Season 1 ran 23 episodes, season 2 ran 22, and season 3 ran 22 to May 1986 with car plots and chases.
The Skid Marks Coyote car frames the chase plots around Los Angeles cases weekly, with Hardcastle driving the judge role hard. The run was cancelled after season 3 with no reunion film ever made. No revival has been ordered, with the 67 episodes standing complete.
