About Kojak
Telly Savalas stars as NYPD Lieutenant Theo Kojak, the lollipop-loving detective who headlined 118 episodes on CBS from October 1973 to March 1978. Savalas returned for seven TV movies between 1985 and 1990, first on CBS and then on ABC with Kojak promoted to inspector.
Good to know
The cases stand alone, so release order is the right path and the movies assume no homework beyond the series. The 2005 USA Network remake with Ving Rhames is a separate continuity and sits outside this list.
