About Mom
Mom ran 170 episodes on CBS about Bonnie and Christy Plunkett rebuilding sober lives in Napa. The first six seasons ran 22 episodes each from 2013 through 2019, mixing apartment chaos with meetingroom support plots. Anna Faris played Christy through season 7.
Season 7 ran 20 episodes ending April 2020, then Faris exited that September. Season 8 ran 18 episodes from November 2020 to May 13, 2021 with Bonnie leading, and CBS announced that February the eighth would be the last. No revival has been ordered.
Good to know
Season order is the only order, since sobriety milestones and job changes carry forward. The tone shifts after Faris leaves, with season 8 leaning on the wider meeting group. The finale closes Bonnie arc cleanly, so there is no cliffhanger to chase. Start at season 1 and do not skip the early relapse episodes.
