About Mrs. Davis
Mrs. Davis is an American science fiction comedy drama limited series created by Tara Hernandez and Damon Lindelof for Peacock. Betty Gilpin plays Sister Veronica, a nun who has spent her life inside a convent maintaining a piece of technology nobody outside is allowed to understand, and whose faith is the only thing she trusts to weigh against it.
The show premiered at SXSW on March 11, 2023 and reached Peacock on April 20, 2023, then released weekly through May 18. Jake McDorman, Margo Martindale, David Arquette and Elizabeth Marvel support Gilpin, and the whole run is eight episodes.
What separates it from most of its genre is the tone. It plays the threat straight and the people around it as comedy, and it names every episode with a full descriptive sentence rather than a one word title, from the opening Mother of Mercy: The Call of the Horse to the closing The Final Intercut: So I'm Your Horse.
Good to know
Watch all eight episodes in order. The show is one arc from beginning to end and there is nothing to rearrange, so the only decision is whether to read the episode titles before or after each hour, and both work.
It premiered at SXSW before it arrived on Peacock, which is why the March 11 and April 20 dates both turn up in searches for the show. The streaming run started on April 20 and went out weekly, so the weekly order is the broadcast order.
The show has not been renewed and there is no second series, so this guide is complete as it stands.
