About Primeval
Primeval follows Professor Nick Cutter's team policing time anomalies that dump dinosaurs into modern Britain. The five series run aired 2007 to 2011, surviving cancellation and a cast overhaul, with the Canadian spin-off Primeval: New World following in 2012.
Watch series one through five in broadcast order, then New World. The spin-off stands alone with a Vancouver cast but assumes the anomaly rules, so it plays as an epilogue chapter. The show reinvents its team at series four, which reads fine in sequence as the ARC itself rebuilds on screen.
Good to know
New World was cancelled after one 13 episode season, so it closes as a single alternate branch rather than a continuing story. The original's 36 episodes end deliberately with the New Dawn arc. No revival of either continuity is in development, leaving the anomaly files complete as listed here for fans.
