About Psych
Psych aired on USA from July 2006 to March 2014 for eight seasons and 120 episodes. It follows fake psychic Shawn Spencer, played by James Roday, solving crimes with Gus beside Lassiter and Juliet. The show closed with the San Francisco move, then continued in three Peacock films: The Movie (2017), Lassie Come Home (2020) and This Is Gus (2021).
The films assume the series finale directly, with the Santa Barbara crew reuniting around new mysteries. No fourth film has been dated, though the cast has said in interviews they return whenever asked, keeping the door open.
Good to know
Watch all eight seasons in broadcast order, then the three films, since the marriages and the Yin-Yang callbacks assume the run. The show is episodic around one case each with pineapple gags throughout, so an occasional skip harms nothing outside the mythology episodes. The films play as extended episodes rather than reinventions.
