About Quantum Leap
Quantum Leap follows Sam Beckett, a time traveler who leaps into other lives and must fix their worst day before he can leap again. The original run spans five seasons from 1989 to 1993 and ends on a debated title card, while the 2022 revival follows Ben Song thirty years later with Addison as his hologram.
Watch the original five seasons in air order, then the two revival seasons. The revival assumes you know Sam's fate and the rules, so it plays badly as an entry point. The finale of season five was written as a possible ending, which is why it still divides fans.

Release order is story order, because the revival sits decades after Sam. The original ends with Sam never returning home, and the revival builds directly on that line. NBC cancelled the revival in 2024 after two seasons, so the story stops there for now. TV movies recut from episodes add nothing new and can be skipped.
