About Rivals
Rivals follows Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Baddingham feuding over a Cotswolds TV franchise in the 1980s with horses. Season 1 runs eight episodes from October 2024 as Corinium takes on Venturer with affairs and takeovers around every gala night long.
Hulu and Disney confirmed season 2 with the same cast returning to Rutshire for more galas. No air date exists yet, and the Jilly Cooper books give plenty of runway ahead. Watch season 1 first since the finale decides who holds the licence at last.
Good to know
Watch season 1 episodes 1 to 8, then season 2 once it airs. The story moves forward with marriages and network fights, so release order matches story order. The 1980s setting stays fixed, which keeps the fashion and deals clear for all. Check back for a firm date before a full rewatch with season 2 joined on.
