About Sense8
Sense8 follows eight strangers across the globe who discover they are a sensate cluster, able to share thoughts, skills and sensations. Created by the Wachowskis and J. Michael Straczynski, the first season ran 12 episodes in 2015, shot on location in 16 cities across 13 countries.
Season two opened with a 2016 Christmas special, then ten episodes in 2017 ending on Wolfgang's capture. Fan outcry after cancellation won a two-hour finale, Amor Vincit Omnia, released June 8, 2018. Watch everything in release order. The special is season two's first episode in all but name, and the finale resolves its cliffhanger.
Good to know
Release order is story order with one quirk: the 2016 Christmas special is really the season two premiere, so it sits between the seasons rather than apart from them. The show was famously expensive at a reported 9 million dollars per episode, which explains both the globe-spanning look and the cancellation. The finale gives real closure, so the 26-part run feels complete.
