About Severance
Severance follows Lumon office workers whose memories split between their innie and outie selves, and it must be watched in order since every episode builds on the last. Season 1 ran nine episodes from February to April 2022, ending with the overtime breakout, and season 2 ran ten episodes from January to March 2025.
Apple renewed the show for season 3 in March 2025, with filming starting July 2026 and a late 2027 window the most likely landing point based on past production pace. Dan Erickson created the series with Ben Stiller producing, and the core cast of Adam Scott and Britt Lower returns.
Good to know
Do not skip or shuffle episodes, since the mystery around Cold Harbor and Gemma only pays off in sequence. The gap between seasons was three years, so a quick recap of the season 1 finale helps before starting season 2. Season 3 has no firm date yet, which is why its list entry carries no year until Apple announces one.
