About Stargate
Stargate starts with the 1994 film, where Catherine Langford's discovery sends Jackson and O'Neil through to Abydos. SG-1 runs ten seasons from 1997 to 2007, growing from Goa'uld fights to Replicators and the Ori. Atlantis spins out in 2004 for five seasons in Pegasus, airing beside SG-1's last years, so seasons 8 through 10 overlap Atlantis seasons 1 through 3 by design.
The Ark of Truth from 2008 closes the Ori arc right after SG-1's finale, then Continuum later in 2008 sends the team through time and plays best after Atlantis season 5 opens. Universe runs two seasons from 2009 to 2011 aboard Destiny with no crossover safety net. Origins from 2018 is a 1939 Catherine prequel web series, and the 2002 Infinity cartoon is non-canon. A reboot has been reported but carries no date.
Good to know
Watch the film, then SG-1 straight through season 7 before starting Atlantis. From there the shows were scheduled together, so alternate SG-1 seasons 8 to 10 with Atlantis 1 to 3 roughly as aired. Ark of Truth slots between Atlantis 3 and 4, Continuum after Atlantis 5 opens, then Universe last. Origins works any time after the film as a short prequel, and Infinity can be skipped entirely since the makers left it out of canon.
