About The Fast Show
The Fast Show is the BBC Two sketch show created by Paul Whitehouse and Charlie Higson, airing from 27 September 1994 to December 2000 with Simon Day, Mark Williams, John Thomson, Arabella Weir and Caroline Aherne. Series 1 ran six episodes in 1994, Series 2 ran seven episodes in early 1996 with a Christmas special that December, and Series 3 ran eight episodes in late 1997.
The run closed with The Last Fast Show Ever, a three part special broadcast 26 to 28 December 2000 with guest Johnny Depp. Later revivals include the 2011 online shorts and 2014 specials, but the core BBC Two run is the complete story for new viewers.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order for The Fast Show worth listing, since sketches stand alone and only make more sense in broadcast order as catchphrases bed in. Start at Series 1 and watch straight through including the 1996 Christmas special before Series 3. The Ted and Ralph spinoff from 1998 and the 2011 online series are optional extras once the main run is done.
