About The Incredible Hulk
The CBS series ran for five seasons and 80 episodes after two pilot films in November 1977, developed by Kenneth Johnson. Bill Bixby plays Dr. David Banner, a physician on the run after a gamma lab accident, with Lou Ferrigno as the creature and Jack Colvin as reporter Jack McGee. Each week Banner drifts into a new town, helps strangers, transforms under pressure, then moves on before questions land.
Three NBC reunion films followed the 1982 cancellation. The Incredible Hulk Returns (1988) pairs Banner with Thor, The Trial of the Incredible Hulk (1989) brings in Daredevil against Wilson Fisk, and The Death of the Incredible Hulk (1990) ends the run. Watch the series first, then the films in release order, since each film assumes you know Banner and McGee.
Good to know
This guide covers only the 1977 live-action TV continuity. The 2003 Hulk and 2008 The Incredible Hulk films have their own post, and the 1982 and 1996 cartoons have another, so do not mix those in here. There is no separate chronological order worth listing. The pilots feed straight into season one and the reunion films follow the series, so release order matches story order throughout.
