About The Office

The US Office ran nine seasons on NBC from 2005 to 2013 as the Scranton branch stumbles from diversity day to the documentary finale. Michael Scott anchors seasons 1 through 7 before leaving, and the ensemble of Jim, Pam, Dwight and Andy carries seasons 8 and 9 to the reunion close.

The story continues sideways rather than forward: The Paper premiered September 4, 2025 on Peacock with the same documentary crew filming a Toledo newspaper, and its second season arrived September 9, 2026. Oscar Martinez bridges both shows, so the spin-off rewards Office fans without requiring them.

Good to know

Watch seasons 1 through 9 in broadcast order, since Jim and Pam plus the Michael exit only land in sequence. The show stays episodic enough to sample, but the finale trilogy needs the full run behind it. The Paper works any time after season 7 as a same-universe extra, and its second season is already out with no third season dated yet.
