About Two and a Half Men
Two and a Half Men ran 262 episodes on CBS. The Charlie Harper era covers seasons 1 through 8, with season 5 cut to 19 by the writers strike and season 8 cut to 16 when Sheen was fired in 2011. Ashton Kutcher joins as Walden Schmidt for seasons 9 through 12.
Jon Cryer as Alan stays throughout, the only regular in every episode. The two part finale aired February 19, 2015. Cast and creator talk since has ruled out a full reboot, with Cryer open at most to a one off and the 2024 Emmys skit serving as the reunion.
Good to know
Watch seasons 1 through 12 in air order. The Sheen to Kutcher switch in season 9 works only with the beach house history behind it. Season 8 ends abruptly because of the firing, so expect a hard reset at season 9. The finale is divisive, but it closes the run, and no continuation is in production now.
