About Wayward Pines
Wayward Pines follows agent Ethan Burke waking in a fenced Idaho town that will not let him leave in season 1 from 2015. The 10 episodes build the Pilcher project, the Abbies outside and the 4028 year reveal that reframes every escape try while Burke maps walls, cameras and fake deaths.
Season 2 from 2016 jumps to the First Generation running the town with new rebels and the same wall rules. Theo tests the food supply and the plague plan as teens guard old orders, and the second run ends the food and plague arc with the town fate settled. The twist only lands when the seasons stack in order without skips.
Good to know
Watch season 1 then season 2 in broadcast order with no skips, since the year reveal reframes the whole town. The mystery resets its questions each week but the wall truth does not, so keep Pilcher tapes in place before the rebel turn. The 2016 finale closes the project with no third season dated, so treat the two seasons as complete as of this check.
