About City the Animation
City the Animation adapts Keiichi Arawi's manga about college girl Nagumo, high schooler Niikura, and Wako in a busy town. Kyoto Animation produced 13 episodes from July 7 to September 29, 2025 with Taichi Ishidate directing.
The run marks KyoAni's return to full series comedy with connected town sketches. No second season was announced. Watch episodes 1 through 13 in order. The running gags and town threads only land if you follow each week straight through from the premiere. The backgrounds reward close viewing.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order for City worth listing. The sketch town already plays in intended broadcast order, so release order and story order are the same list. Watch episodes 1 through 13 straight. The late-night premiere confuses dates into July 6 in some guides, but July 7 is the calendar start. No null-year entry is pending.
