About Danguard Ace
Danguard Ace follows Takuma Ichimonji, who joins the Danguard team to find his father lost in space and stop Captain Doppler's conquest. With Dr. Oedo and the Prometheus crew, he flies the Satelither to Saturn. Toei aired fifty-six episodes from 1977 to 1978.
Early episodes establish the Jet Robocraft training and the Doppler spies. Middle chapters reveal Takuma's father alive and the Mecha Bonesmen upgrades. Later episodes stage the Saturn base assault and the Doppler emperor reveal. The enemy commanders fall in order, so jumping ahead spoils who betrays whom.
Good to know
Watch in broadcast order. The series mixes episodic space patrols with a serial father search. There is no sequel in continuity, since later manga retellings stand apart. New viewers can sample early launches, yet the Saturn finale lands better after the full spy buildup. The closing chapters resolve the traitor plot and set up the final Saturn assault.
