About Lucky Star
Lucky Star follows Konata, Kagami, Tsukasa and Miyuki through school lunches, games and festival talk. The 24 episode TV run aired from April to September 2007 in talk order with no plot to track. The OVA from September 2008 adds a 42 minute bonus with the same cast and pace.
Watch the TV run first, then the OVA. Sketches reset each part, so order is about cast rhythm rather than story. There is no film or second season, so TV plus OVA is the complete animated set. Aya Hirano voices Konata with Emiri Kato as Kagami.
Good to know
Release order and story order match across the school year with no jumps to reorder. The show leans on otaku references that date it to 2007 in a fun way. With no sequel announced, the 24 episodes plus OVA form the full screen run to pair with the four panel books. Kyoto Animation animated the TV run with Lucky Channel closing each episode.
