About Miyuki
Miyuki began as a 1983 theatrical film from Kitty Films about Masaya caught between stepsister Miyuki Wakamatsu and classmate Miyuki Kashima. The movie sets the baseball path and the famous same name mix that drives calls, letters and missed meetings at school.
The TV series followed from 1983 to 1984 for 37 episodes with deeper games, exams and family work across summer. Masaya pitches through tough tournaments while both Miyukis weigh college and support roles. Watch the film first for the setup, then the series for the full season arc and final choice. The story closed in 1984 with no sequel produced.
Good to know
Watch the 1983 film before the TV run since it frames the love triangle and baseball goal cleanly. The series expands games and school terms that the film compresses, so TV payoff lands better with film context. Both share Adachi sport rhythm with quiet dialogue and summer fields. The anime closed in 1984 as a complete adaptation, so these two entries cover the full Miyuki path.
