About Nichijou
Nichijou follows Nano, Hakase, Mio, Yuko and Mai through school days that tilt into robot chases and deer wrestling. The 26 episode TV run aired from April to September 2011 in sketch order with no arc to track. Episode 0 from March 2011 acts as a pilot with the same cast and tone.
Watch the TV run straight through, with Episode 0 before or after without harm. Sketches reset each part, so order is about rhythm rather than plot. There is no film or second season, so the TV plus OVA is the complete animated set.
Good to know
Release order and story order match since the show has no timeline to untangle across sketches. The humor mixes deadpan school talk with wild action cuts, which lands best in broadcast flow. With no sequel announced, the 26 episodes plus OVA pair with the manga rather than replacing it. Kyoto Animation animated the 2011 run.
