About Tamako Market
Tamako Market runs 12 TV episodes in 2013 with Tamako and talking bird Dera in Usagiyama shops. Tamako Love Story from 2014 is a film sequel with Mochizou return and festival confession. Both share one shopping street year.
Watch the TV series first, then the film, since the confession assumes market bonds. The two were made by Kyoto Animation as a gentle pair. No second TV season breaks this chain as of this check, so TV then film covers the anime path. New viewers can start with the first entry for the cleanest introduction.
Good to know
Release order matches street growth from daily shops to love choice. The TV run sets Dera, Mochizou and baton club across 12 episodes. The film runs about 83 minutes into the confession and should be saved for last. Start with TV for market rules before the romance payoff. The run is complete with no sequel announced beyond the film.
