About Laid-Back Camp
Laid-Back Camp is the cozy camping show: Rin masters solo winter camping, Nadeshiko drags the Outdoor Activities Club along, and every episode doubles as a tourism ad for Yamanashi. Season 1 (2018) and season 2 (2021) adapt Afro's manga steadily, with the Heya Camp shorts as comic filler between them.
The 2022 film jumps the cast into adulthood for an original story, best watched after season 2. Season 3 (2024) changed studios to 8bit and continues the manga. Release order is the whole guide; the show is slice-of-life, so there is no plot to spoil, only campsites to visit in sequence.
Good to know
The studio change for season 3 shows in the character designs, which divided fans at first: the stories and the food look just as good. Heya Camp's short episodes are pure comedy and skippable if shorts bore you. The film is the only anime-original story, so manga readers get something new there too. The manga continues past the anime, so further seasons are always possible whenever they are announced.
