About Buzz Lightyear
Buzz Lightyear of Star Command spins the toy into a real space ranger leading Mira, Booster and XR against Zurg. The Adventure Begins film from 2000 sets Warp Darkmatter turn and team assembly across three parts. The series runs 62 episodes from 2000 to 2001 with NOS-4-A2, Wirewolf and Gravitina threats.
Watch the film first since the series assumes the team and Zurg setup. Episodes mostly reset with light continuity on Ranger ranks and Star Command codes. The show stays separate from Toy Story films as an in universe cartoon, so keep it apart from the Pixar run.
Good to know
Release order matches story order with the film as pilot. Start with Adventure Begins for Buzz team rules before sampling series arcs. Zurg plans recur but rarely cliffhang, which makes mid run sampling safe. Treat the 2001 end as the close with no revival ordered, since later Buzz media reboots rather than continues Star Command.
