About Blasphemous
Blasphemous follows the Penitent One through Cvstodia as the Miracle twists faith into monsters. The 2019 original plus the free Wounds of Eventide update close the first cycle, with brutal parries and prayer builds carrying exploration.
Blasphemous 2 from 2023 wakes the Penitent in a new land with three weapons and new bosses, continuing from the Eventide ending. The Mea Culpa DLC from 2024 plus the Third Sin update extend it. Play Blasphemous with Eventide first, then Blasphemous 2 with DLC. No third game has been dated, so the run stays open.
Good to know
Release order tracks the Miracle cycle, because Blasphemous 2 opens from the Eventide ending and assumes the first guilt arc. The free updates slot inside their games rather than as separate plays. Mea Culpa and Third Sin extend the sequel with new zones. Play the original first for moves and lore, then the sequel. The series stays open with no third entry dated.
