About Bloody Roar
Bloody Roar opened in 1997 as Raizing's fighter about zoanthropes transforming mid-bout, with Yugo's wolf leading the roster. Bloody Roar 2 followed in 1999 and part 3 in 2001, each expanding the beast roster.
Primal Fury brought the series to GameCube in 2002 and Bloody Roar 4 closed it on PS2 in 2003. Play all five in release order for the beast-system evolution. The plots never matter beyond lab conspiracies, so the sequence is about mechanics. The beast transforms reset each round, keeping bouts frantic.
Good to know
Release order tours the beast-transform progression from 1997 to 2003. Primal Fury adapts part 3 for Nintendo with exclusive touches, so versus players often skip straight to it. Hudson's exit from the genre froze the series after part 4. No revival has been announced, so the five games are complete.
