About Darkstalkers
Darkstalkers opened in 1994 as Capcom's gothic fighter, pitting Morrigan, Felicia and Demitri in fluid monster combat. Night Warriors set the style, Hunter refined it in 1995, and Savior in 1997 closed the saga with Jedah's Majigen.
Compilations kept it alive: the 2005 Vampire Collection and 2013's Resurrection with rollback netcode. Play the three arcade entries in release order for the Jedah arc. The 1997 cartoon and anime OVAs adapt loosely and stay optional. Morrigan and Felicia headline every entry regardless.
Good to know
Release order follows the Jedah saga across three arcade entries. Resurrection bundles Hunter and Savior for modern systems and suits most players as the single purchase. A fourth game has been rumored for decades without materializing, so Savior stands as the end. Versus players should start with Savior's balance.
