About Forza
Forza split into sim Motorsport and open world Horizon. Motorsport ran 1 through 4 from 2005 to 2011, then 5 through 7 from 2013 to 2017. Horizon started 2012 in Colorado, then 2 in 2014, 3 in Australia 2016, 4 in Britain 2018 and 5 in Mexico 2021 with a PS5 port 2025.
The Motorsport reboot arrived October 2023 and is parked with servers on after Turn 10 cuts in 2025. Horizon 6 launched May 2026 in Japan on Xbox and PC with early access May 15, and the PS5 version is pending as of September 2026. Play by release or take one line at a time.
Good to know
Motorsport and Horizon share no story, so there is no cross line order beyond release dates. Motorsport is track sim while Horizon is festival open world. Horizon 6 is the active game with Japan map, while Motorsport 2023 gets no new content. The mobile Street and Customs spinoffs are delisted extras outside this list.
