About Freedom Wars
Freedom Wars from 2014 follows a prisoner cutting a million year sentence by hunting Abductors for Panopticons. Freedom Wars Remastered from January 2025 rebuilds the same hunt in 4K with reworked crafting for PS5, PS4, Switch and PC. Stories match rather than continuing.
Play the Remastered cut if starting now, since it holds the full sentence arc with modern matchmaking. Veterans can revisit the Vita original for history, but there is no new plot in the port. A sequel depends on remaster sales with nothing announced.
