About Gearbox

Gearbox built shooters from Brothers in Arms Road to Hill 30 in 2005 with squad orders in Normandy hedges. Borderlands added loot guns on Pandora in 2009 with Claptrap humor, then Borderlands 2 refined raids in 2012 with Handsome Jack and Tiny Tina.

Borderlands 3 went wide across planets in 2019, then Tiny Tina Wonderlands mixed fantasy dice and spells in 2022. Play in release order to track squad AI turning to loot loops. Each game stands alone, but co op, skill trees and boss farms link the run. The pacing stays steady, with each part adding faces while keeping the core tone clear. New viewers learn names slowly while returning fans track how ties shift each year.

Good to know

Start with Borderlands 2 from 2012 for the sharpest loop and Jack story, then Borderlands 3 from 2019 for gun variety and longer vaults. Add Tiny Tina Wonderlands from 2022 for shorter fantasy co op with dice twists. Brothers in Arms from 2005 is a slower tactical branch with real squads. No shared story joins Brothers to Borderlands beyond studio shooting roots.
