About Test Drive

Test Drive started 1987 with exotic point to point runs. Part 2 in 1989, part 3 in 1990 and parts 4 through 6 from 1997 to 1999 built traffic racing. Overdrive in 2002 adds story and Eve of Destruction in 2004 goes derby.

Unlimited in 2006 opens Oahu with a house and cars lifestyle, Unlimited 2 in 2011 adds Ibiza, Ferrari Legends in 2012 goes track history and Solar Crown in September 2024 returns to Hong Kong live. Season 3 runs in 2025. No new game beyond Solar Crown DLC has been announced as of September 2026.

Good to know

There is no story order for Test Drive. Cars and islands reset each game except Unlimited Oahu into Ibiza into Hong Kong progression, so release order matches that path. Play Unlimited 1 and 2 before Solar Crown for the lifestyle curve. Off Road and Le Mans are separate sub series outside this list.
