About Austin Powers
Austin Powers follows a cryogenically frozen 1960s British spy, played by Mike Myers, waking in the 1990s to fight Dr. Evil, also Myers. International Man of Mystery (1997) thaws Austin to stop the Cryo chamber plot. The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999) sends him to 1969 after Dr. Evil steals his mojo. Goldmember (2002) opens in 1975 and closes the time loop around Austin's father.
Myers has said in interviews through 2025 that a fourth film stays possible but unscripted, with director Jay Roach agreeing the cast would return. No cameras have rolled, so the trilogy stands complete for now with the door open.
Good to know
Watch one through three in release order, since Scott Evil aging, Mini-Me joining and Frau Farbissina's reveal all build across films. The time travel in parts two and three still plays in release order, so do not reorder by in-universe year. Myers plays extra roles like Fat Bastard and Goldmember throughout, and those jokes assume you met the base characters first.
