About Johnny English
Johnny English follows Rowan Atkinson's clumsy MI7 agent stumbling through missions his assistant Bough quietly saves. The first film (2003) guards the crown jewels from Sauvage. Reborn (2011) from Oliver Parker sends English to Asia against Vortex. Strikes Again (2018) from David Kerr pits an analogue agent against a digital villain in France.
Atkinson has said in interviews a fourth film stays possible with the right script, though no cameras have rolled. The Barclaycard adverts that birthed the character share only the suit and the desk gags, sitting apart as the origin sketch.
