About Cornetto Trilogy
The Cornetto Trilogy from Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost ties three comedies through ice cream rather than plot. Shaun of the Dead (2004) survives the zombie outbreak from the Winchester. Hot Fuzz (2007) polices the perfect village of Sandford. The World's End (2013) closes with old friends finishing the Golden Mile during an alien takeover.
Pegg and Frost play new characters each time with recurring faces like Jim Broadbent and Paddy Considine around them. Wright has said in interviews the trilogy closed by design with the red, blue and green Cornettos complete, and no fourth flavor has been announced.
