About Flipper
Flipper starts with two 1960s family films about the bottlenose dolphin, then the NBC series (1964 to 1967) made the Porter family and Bud's friendship iconic across 88 episodes. The 1990s brought both a revival series (1995) and a remake film (1996) with new casts.
Release order is the guide: the 1960s films, then the classic series, then the 1990s pair as separate takes. Each version reboots the premise, so no continuity homework exists. The original Flipper was played by five dolphins, with Mitzie and Mr. Gipper doing most of the work.

The 1964 series is the cultural landmark and the episodes hold up as gentle adventure: start there if the 1960s films feel slow. The 1995 series and 1996 film are independent remakes, not continuations, so either can follow or be skipped.
